The heart connects us to our inner world through our blood, and to the outer world through the vagus and autonomic nervous system . During the course of 2 days we will look at the holistic heart in terms of mind, body and spirit, and across dimensions of time from conception to adulthood and death. Through the study of the anatomy and physiology of the endothelium, metabolic syndrome, the vagus and social nervous system, we will explore how the heart works and some of the ways in which its vitality can be compromised. There will practical table sessions and guided experiential exercises to give a felt sense experience of what has been taught, and treatment principles and protocols that can be easily integrated into everyday practice. DAY 1 The Embryological development of the heart, Light, Potency and Ignition The Wholeness of the CVS The Endothelium : Structure & Function (incl Metabolic Syndrome and it's treatment) DAY 2 The Innervation of the heart : Autonomic Nervous System & vagus The Social Nervous system The Psychoneuroendocrine immune systems and their role in heart dysregulation Hard wired/Soft wired/Wet wired (CNS and the CVS) The Boundless Heart - the collective, ancestral and sacred aspects of the Heart This workshop will be based on Osteopathic and CST principles, contemporary scientific studies and timeless Eastern and Western spiritual philosophies.
