Service Description
When: September 27th 9am - 5.30pm Where: Pickeridge Farm, Sussex, RH17 6ST This post-graduate in-person course is designed for cranial osteopaths and craniosacral therapists who wish to broaden their knowledge and skills to support women through the significant life phase of peri-menopause (a separate course will be offered on menopause and post-menopause at a later date). While much of the craniosacral therapy focus has traditionally been on supporting women through pregnancy, postnatally, and in caring for newborns, the peri-menopausal and menopausal phases are an incredible time of transition for women—one which craniosacral therapists can offer profound guidance and support through. This course will support participants to gain a thorough understanding of the physiological, emotional, and psychological changes women experience during peri-menopause. We will explore the role of hormones, including oestrogen, progesterone and cortisol, and their influence on systems throughout the body, reviewing common peri-menopausal symptoms and how craniosacral therapy/cranial osteopathy can help. We will provide the tools and understanding to navigate these years, enhancing the quality of life for clients through specialised techniques and an empathetic, holistic approach.
